Why Concrete?
Concrete is the perfect medium for one of a kind custom creations to please the eye. It promotes space for both the expression of the artist and the personal connection of the client.
Shape and form are so important; the design of the piece must work for the particular space that it is made for. For example, a flowing curved counter creates a space that encourages people to interact and be social. It is inviting to walk around and follow the lines of a counter that does not have sharp corners to bump into. Moving from one space to another is easy when walking around a curved shape.
Concrete takes the shape of any form you build. Allowing for basically any shape, numerous colors, and having a one-of-a-kind sculpture are some of the beauties of concrete. It can be made to have a high shine; inlays of infinite variety can be placed throughout a form; bold centerpieces can be created to quickly draw the eye-the piece can be explored and discussed. The experience with the piece is what is so exciting! So many people that see my work question, “What is that made of? Is that Concrete? WOW! Look at that detail!” Every piece that I have made invites you to take a closer look. These are some of the beauties of concrete.
I see concrete as a manner in which to share with others my creative self expression. Personalizing the concrete gives anyone that walks by it an experience- an experience that connects them to the artist, connects them to the owner and connects them to the space.all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
